the premise: a smoldering young man (JP) and his mother (CK) take a trip to tuscany for her to convalesce. while there, they meet 2 women on the run from the law or whatever (we can fiddle). the blonde becomes the nurse to mother, and they exchange many a tentative glance over sponge baths. the brunette is accosted in the olive grove by the intense son, where she puts him in his place and they spend the rest of the film growing to love each other after she teaches him that she's exactly what he wants. the 4 of them move to tahiti once the mother's illness is in remission and she has mind-blowing sex with the erstwhile nurse. the end.

the premise: startlingly intense boy (JP) suffers from incestuous longing for his outgoing, free-spirited and gorgeous SISTER (CK) they go to tuscany. where the SISTER hopes she can bring her bro' out of his shell. there she has a chance encounter with a kook. the encounter is life altering and makes aforementioned sister question her true self and throw caution to the wind. the kook sets aside the cross. in the meantime, the boy with the sexy defects, utterly unaware of his looks, captures the attention of grumpy, intense exotic beauty. since they are both kind of shy and introverted. theirs is a touching, awkward courtship. it all comes to a head when the four of them travel up to maremma. the lies, the secrets kept etc. after an emotional climax. all ends well.
