new year, 1994. in some dump. somewhere. freezing. i watched "short cuts" indifferent to the seconds ticking by that would drag me, reluctantly into a new year. and why would i have noticed or cared. i had this, perhaps the definitive vision, of what i cannot even farthom, (humanity, perhaps). raw. cruel. real. heartless. it left me with the indelible memory i have carried with me since then. much imitated. but to no avail. no one had his touch. few his vision.

Into my heart an air that kills

From yon far country blows:

What are those blue remembered hills,

What spires, what farms are those?

That is the land of lost content

I see it shining plain

The happy highways where I went

And cannot come again.

: Meet me... in Montauk...

what happens when your blog becomes a big inside joke

have you ever pressed next next next on the "next blog" and thought, this blog is CRAP

i have. you have. and the truth of the matter is, this is the question:
how many blogs are universal enough, eye-catching enough to grab your attention?
be they wrist-slashing or fug-you-fantastic.....?
i really know, personally, of only one exception (alberto/megan: a genuine connection).
if not, it's an abyss of KAK (i include myself in this midst).
i have no idea what generations from now are going to think of...
this verbal/visual diarrhea that we unleash on this infinite space. will they think us redundant? ridiculous?
all the aformentioned....
all i know is that (hopefully)
i, you and everyone i know
will go back, years from now...
scroll through the months and go "ah yes, i remember it well...those were the days...we/i/you were so happy"
and not even recall that
in fact
, no,
we were all fuking miserable
that the rose-tinted filter of time did us a service..
and that all that is gone,
is bliss.
and that all is left is

"It restates the negativeness of the universe. The hideous lonely emptiness of existence. Nothingness. The predicament of Man forced to live in a barren, Godless eternity like a tiny flame flickering in an immense void with nothing but waste, horror and degradation, forming a useless bleak straitjacket in a GREY absurd cosmos."

after a wonderful lunch w/ la frappa and the capitano,,,where we consumed many of the beloved CHOKES la frappy continued her journey into the world of eating madness w/ a vivid green crostina and then....ICE CREAM which pushed her over the edge of reason,,like an opium smoker who hasn't seen the light of day in some time the gelato was her universe and she spoke in lovingly morbid language and grunted for a solid 30 min.

dedicated to maude, from lil p (lisa)

The skies are charcoal grey,
It's a dreary downtown day,
But at the end of my 40 foot leash,
Is my little friend Quiche.
Quiche La Poodle is her name
And having a good time on a crummy day is our game.

Quiche Quiche Lorraine
Quiche Quiche Lorraine

Everyday I take her out. Yea!
She runs around, she shouts out and barks, Yea!
Cause she's a good doggie
She's a sweet, sweet, sweet PUPPY! Arf Arf
And I know she'll stick by me, Yea! Arf Arf

Oh no! Here comes a Great Dane
Drivin' down the lane
Quiche, Quiche, Quiche come back here;
Don't leave me.
I'll go insane.
I'll go insane.

How do you like that?
Has anybody seen a dog dyed dark green.
About two inches tall, with a strawberry blonde fall;
Sunglasses and a bonnet
and designer jeans with appliques on it?
The dog that brought me so much joy
Left me wallowing in pain.
Quiche Lorraine.

I'll show her!
Do you see the key in my hand?
I'm gonna throw it in the lake.
Yea, you've been so rotten to me,
You take the cake.
I'm just gonna lock the door to your kennel,
and just you try and come back to me.
Yea, you'll see.

Quiche Quiche Lorraine You mangey mutt.
Quiche Quiche Lorraine I'm talking about Quiche!
Quiche Quiche Lorraine Quiche Lorraine

FastWeb, Struggling to Cope With Demand, Has Handset Shortage

By Flavia Krause-Jackson
Nov. 17 (Bloomberg) -- FastWeb SpA, Italy's second-biggest
fixed-line telephone company, is suffering from a shortage of
equipment due to unexpected demand, prompting delays in
delivering cordless telephones to new customers.
The main difficulty lies with the so-called `Easy'
contracts that include a cordless handset needed to activate the
Internet and phone service, said a FastWeb spokeswoman, who
declined to be named, in a telephone interview today. Suppliers
across Rome have run out of equipment, prompting delays of at
least a week, said Pietro Assenza, who runs a FastWeb retailer
in Rome.

Ira returned a hero
Celebrated through the land
He was wined and speeched and honored; Everybody shook his hand

But he was just a Pima Indian
No water, no crops, no chance
At home nobody cared what Ira'd done
And when did the Indians dance

Yeah, call him drunken Ira Hayes
But his land is just as dry
And his ghost is lyin' thirsty
In the ditch where Ira died

Leave me out with the waste
This is not what I do
It's the wrong kind of place
To be thinking of you
It's the wrong time
For somebody new
It's a small crime
And I've got no excuse

Is that alright with you?

damien rice

click here to listen, it blows my mind

I want from you, is empty your head
But they say that you, don't stay in your bed
We do what we need to be free
And it leans on me, like a rootless tree

What I want from this is to learn to let go
But we fade at first, fracture the times
We go blind when we needed to see
And it leans on me, like a rootless...

So fu*k you, fu*k you, fu*k you
And all that you do
I said leave it, leave it, leave it
It's nothin' to you
Hate me, hate me, hate me
So you can let me out, let me out, let me out
From havin' you around
Let me out, let me out, let me out

What I want from this
Is to learn to let go
No not from you
From all that is old
Killers re-invent and believe
And it leans on me, like a rootless...

So fu*k you, fu*k you, fu*k you
And all that you do
I said leave it, leave it, leave it
It's nothin' to you
Hate me, hate me, hate me
So you can let me out, let me out, let me out
From havin' you around

So fu*k you, fu*k you, fu*k you
And all that you do
I said leave it, leave it, leave it
It's nothin' in you
Hate me, hate me, hate me
So you can let me out, let me out, let me out
Let me out, let me out, let me out, let me out

see you all in AMSTERDAM

yes, Good Times...
Happy Days...
alas it all came crashing down, my world that is, on Friday, December 31st, 1999, the last day of the millennium, it came to a close the short run of fabulously campy, gloriously tacky, over-the-top and frankly ridiculous Sunset Beach. no stone was left unturned. now vow was left unbroken, by that naughty father antonio torres, otherwise known for those in the know...as father fit

when it comes to cinema, the swedes know a thing or two. greatest screen icon: garbo. greatest film director: bergman
now, he's fallen a bit off the radar but i think old ingmar was prophetic and right on the money in spotting a vaulting talent and dubbed Fucking Amal a ``master's first masterpiece.''Together was as jubilant as Lilya 4-ever devastating.
(now moodysson fallen a bit off the radar....but i KNOW he will hit us with a cracker, they have a capacity to wait this viking race, not to mention an appreciation of the SILENCE).

so here is to one of the most touching final scenes ever filmed, an awkward babble that is as excrutiating as it is tender:

Elin: I use two grams of milk and five thousand kilograms of chocolate and it's always nearly black and then... then I usually pour in more milk but then the glass isn't big enough. Then I have to pour it into a bigger glass, or another glass, if there isn't a big one. It makes a lot of chocolate milk... but that doesn't matter.

now, i have no idea what does swedes put in there fucking nesquik but i'll have what she's having if the result is swedish cinema. past. present and future. i'm done.
