in real life she was of course stunning (that goes without saying). a raging drunk (g&t her poison). a nyphomaniac (excellent taste in lovers, lousy judgement in marrying a raging queen of a husband). she was an indian-born brit with emerald eyes, raven hair and porcelain skin who won two oscars, a rare feat, and all the rarer for playing two southern belles. the first the most coveted role in hollywood history, snatched from under the american contenders' noses by an unknown. AND a brit. travesty...
